Jai Van “Arrow of Victory”.is claimed to be the largest cannon on wheels in the world. Manufactured in the Jaigarh gun foundry in 1720 AD. The length of the barrel of this cannon is 20 ft. 2 inches, the diameter 8 ft. 7 inches and it weighs 50 tons. The range of the gun is 22 miles and it consumes 100 kgs. of gunpowder for every shot. Viewed from the road to Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur is the Jal Mahal, the Lake Palace, in Man Sagar Lake about 6.5 km from Jaipur. Built in 1799 in red sandstone and it was used by the royals as a pleasure palace. The first floor of the palace is now submerged.
